Heading further, we carry on down into Tuscany and on to Lazio and Rome. Because it’s a long run, we plan it around driver hours from the start — no heroics, just a route that gets your things there in good order.

We put the paperwork up front on the Italian route because the distance leaves no room for a hold-up at the border. It’s the familiar set — an inventory, a transit declaration for the goods crossing the EU, and transfer-of-residence forms where they apply — and we prepare and lodge it with you so the crossing into Italy is clean. Sorted early, it’s a non-event.
